• The 2005- 2006 Scholarship Applications will be available January 3-March 11.
• The student can pick up the application from the Cadena Center, Financial Aid , and EOPS , or of course they can download it.
• The application must be turned in to our office by March 11, 2005 before we close at 1pm.
• Students need to submit all required material along with the Scholarship Form in order to receive their scholarship award.

Instructions for Requesting Scholarship Funds

Your award will be divided into two disbursements. Processing time for checks is approximately two weeks. INITIATIVE FOR REQUESTING PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP LIES WITH YOU!

You will need:

For the First Disbursement Fall Semester:

A) YOUR REGISTRATION PRINTOUT, or a copy showing the classes in which you are enrolled, their unit value, and proof that your fees have been paid.

B) THANK-YOU LETTER or a copy of the thank you letter. (This only applies to you if it's requested on the award letter.)

C) SCHOLARSHIP FORM. Please fill this out and send it in with the above information.

For the Second Disbursement Spring Semester:

A) YOUR REGISTRATION PRINTOUT, or a copy showing the classes in which you are enrolled, their unit value, and proof that your fees have been paid.

B) GRADES. A grade report for the first semester/quarter, showing each course completed its unit value, and the grade received, so that a G.P.A. can be computed. Grades for the semester must be 3.0 or better. (**You do not need to send an official transcript. An on-line unofficial transcript is acceptable, however, please note your name and student id number at the top.)

C) SCHOLARSHIP FORM. Please fill this out and send it in with the above information.

Your scholarship award will not be given to you until all the above items have been received.

GENERAL INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Depending on the award received, you must be either a continuing student at Fullerton College, or have received an A.A. Degree from Fullerton College and be attending an accredited four-year institution. You must continue as a full-time student (12 units) and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0, (non-cumulative, at the end of the first semester in which you picked up the first portion of the award), or your award will be forfeited.

Some of our scholarships are dependent on the recipient receiving an A.A. Degree from Fullerton College . If you were awarded a 'Graduating Scholarship' and do not graduate by summer (August) of this year, you will forfeit the scholarship.

If, for any reason, you are unable to claim part, or all of the award during the academic year specified on your award letter, the unclaimed portion will be forfeited unless you apply for an extension and the application is granted.
